Blueprint Living Apartments offers a new experience in Central London short stay accommodation – a range of boutique serviced apartments. Whether you are staying in town for one night or several months, these four-star apartments have the look, feel and cachet of boutique hotel rooms yet are more spacious, individual and economical. Situated next to the family friendly green space of Coram's Fields and just yards from where Charles Dickens wrote Oliver Twist (his home is now a museum dedicated to his life and work), these apartments are in one of the many Grade II listed Georgian buildings of the area, providing an elegant setting for your London stay.
"original sash windows and cornicing yet modern interiors"
The design-led apartments provide all the creature comforts of a modern city home, combined with a discrete, but personalised and attentive level of service, which are ideal for leisure or business visitors tired of staying in hotels. The apartments are available in one-bedroom, two-bedroom, single and double units and all are decorated in a tasteful modern style. All apartments come complete with fully fitted kitchenettes, a weekly maid service, on-site laundry facilities and a range of amenities, including free wireless internet, a handheld telephone, a flat-screen TV with pay per view channels, complimentary Gilchrist and Soames toiletries, Egyptian cotton sheets and CCTV and secure locking for guest safety.
"stroll to the theatres and shops of the West End and Covent Garden"
The apartments are in a very convenient location, with Tesco and Marks and Spencer's food stores just a few minutes walk away where you can stock up on groceries. If you decide you would prefer to eat out, the area is filled with delectable eateries to sample, including Bea's of Bloomsbury for cupcakes and afternoon teas and Fryer's Delight for satisfying fish and chips.
The properties are situated in some of Central London’s most exciting and historic areas, providing guests with the best the Capital has to offer in the way of transport links, sightseeing, restaurants, bars and clubs. The British Museum and British Library are situated close by, as well as the fascinating Welcome Museum and Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology. The campuses for University College London and The University of London are both a few minutes walk away, making these the perfect choice for prospective students and visiting families, and the famed Great Ormond Street children's hospital is also a few minutes walk away. For shopping enthusiasts, Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road shops are a ten-minute walk away, and London theatres are just a 15-minute walk away along Shaftesbury Avenue and in Covent Garden, which also has a stunning selection of quirky boutiques and a curious range of street performers.
"spacious comfortable apartments for London and great travel links"
Transport links from the apartments are excellent, situated just ten minutes from Kings Cross St Pancras Station (for the Eurostar terminus) and a direct link to Heathrow Airport and Russell Square, Farringdon and Chancery Lane tube stations are all within a walkable radius, for links to many other parts of the city.
the LH comment:
5 Doughty Street's apartments have proved popular with previous guests who have been impressed with the high quality and convenient location of the apartments for such a reasonable price. Studio apartments are perfect for short stays if you are visiting the Universities or are visiting on business, but if you can afford the extra, it is worth paying more for a one or two bedroom apartment for the extra space. Apartments near the front of the building also tend to be noisy, so it is best to request a unit on a higher floor near the back if you are a light sleeper.
The big plus is the location actually within the West End. The big minus for us is the 10am check out.
