Situated in Acton, this market provides an array of stalls and has been doing since its inception back in May 2007. Acton Market is near the leafy area of Chiswick which is considered to be one of the most desirable areas to live in the capital.
Acton Market is positioned on The Mount and King Street which is located in Acton Town Centre. It tends to specialise in selling a wide range of carefully hand crafted items not to mention cheap fruit and vegetables that visitors can find at the Farmers' Market. Launched 4 years ago, Acton Market is an excellent choice full of goodies while the Farmers' Market offers an extensive array of great produce including fabulous reared organic meats, organic sausages which feature more than twenty different varieties as well as freshly pressed juices and condiments to choose from. Sundays also tend to bring in a more generic mix of clothes, home ware, pieces of jewellery and much more. Other delicacies include hot food stalls and bric-a-brac items that you can pick up at bargain prices.
There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from within in the local area as well as a plethora of individual boutique stores providing an array of goods. In addition to this, there is Chiswick House which visitors should mark with a big red circle on their destination agendas. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the comfortable surroundings or why not indulge in a picnic which many locals tend to do especially during the summer months.
There are also a wide variety of parks which are dotted around including Gunnersbury Park. This lush area of parkland offers a 9 hole golf course which offers an entertaining distraction to hit a birdie or two – on the golf course anyway. Other nearby green areas includes Acton Park as well as Ealing Common. The latter provides an array of festivals during the year with some famous headline acts. So if you are a festival goer then this will be certainly right up your street. Turnham Green is another area which visitors can benefit from not only from the numerous shops, bars and restaurants but the many streets which guests can wander around.
