The area is popular with politicians due to its proximity to the Houses of Parliament and the transport links are fantastic for exploring the city.
The apartment is very well appointed, decorated in a neutral colour scheme, with elegant contemporary furnishings and all the high-tech amenities the modern traveller could need, making this suitable for business or leisure guests. The apartments also have a great deal of personality, with the odd design touch, such as a floating knife block and bright throw pillows, which make you realise a lot of thought has gone in to the apartment. Amenities include a telephone, fully fitted modern kitchen with a washer dryer and dish washer, washing machine, tea and coffee, complimentary toiletries, a stereo with an iPod dock, flat-screen TV and a free, high-speed Wi-Fi internet connection. House keeping, extra cots and out of hours check-in are also available, but guests should be aware that this comes at a steep extra charge. From Hot Stuff, for a buzzy atmosphere and great Indian food, to Rebato's for tapas and Spanish delicacies, to The Canton Arm, which offers satisfying gastropub fare.
The apartment' is definitely luxurious, but that's not all that you will enjoy staying here. You will also have very convenient access to many of London's best-loved sights and attractions. Just a fifteen minute walk away, over Vauxhall Bridge and along the embankment, you will find the historic area of Westminster, where you will find Westminster Abbey and Westminster Palace and the Houses of Parliament, just a few steps from each other. These buildings have been important centres of monarchy and government since the 8th century and you can learn a lot about London's history by taking a tour, as well as seeing some stunning architecture from all eras. Next to the Houses of Parliament you will find Big Ben, the iconic clock tower, which is one of London's most recognisable images. It's a little tricky to arrange a trip up the tower, but seeing it lit up at night is a magical experience. In Pimlico, just across the river from the apartment, you will find the Tate Britain gallery, with a fantastic collection of traditional art; and just a fifteen minute walk along the South Bank of the river, you will find the Tate Modern, which has a fantastic collection of more recent work, which ranges from the ridiculous to the sublime. On the South Bank you will also find Royal Festival Hall, The Southbank Centre, the Hayward Gallery, the National Theatre and the London Eye, for panoramic views of the city. The tube station services the Victoria Line and you are just one stop away from Victoria, where you can catch the Gatwick Express train to the airport in about 30 minutes, so it is very convenient for international visitors.
