Bloomsbury is the historic home of the Bloomsbury Group of intellectuals including Virginia Woolf and is also where Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais lived. The hotel is within walking distance of many famous London landmarks, including the British Museum (0.3 miles) and the British Library (0.7 miles). The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and UCL (University College London) are practically next door to the hotel.
