All rooms come with a range of amenities, including a hairdryer, radio alarm clock, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, a colour television, en-suite bathrooms and a wireless Internet connection. Guests should be aware that a shared bathroom joins some of the larger rooms, but this makes them ideal for families staying, who require connecting rooms.
The hotel has a 24-hour reception desk; a cosy bar for guests to enjoy a quick drink and a complimentary continental or full English breakfast is included in the room rate. The breakfast is reportedly very good, but if you want a more varied selection, there are plenty of cafes in the surrounding area.

Yas and Mohsen, both 4 minutes walk away, offer authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, the Cumberland Arms offers a hearty gastropub menu, where you can mingle with the locals and chain restaurants such as Pizza Express and Wagamama offer a cheap night out.
The hotel is in a very good location for exploring the city. This establishment is most convenient for Olympia Exhibition Centre, which is just a few minutes walk away, where you can watch spectacular shows such as The Royal Tournament and The London International Horse Show. Earls Court exhibition centre is also just a tube stop away, so exhibitors and visitors will find this hotel very handy. Kensington High Street is just a 10 minute walk away, where you will find a fantastic selection of high-street and designer shops and a huge Whole Foods supermarket, if you want to pick up some goodies for a picnic in nearby Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. The high street culminates in Kensington Palace, an exquisite; Christopher Wren designed building where Princess Diana lived before her death. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are now living there, and you can tour the palace and enjoy afternoon tea at The Orangery restaurant during your visit.
Beyond Kensington, you will find the museums of South Kensington, including the Victoria & Albert, Science and Natural History museums. You will also find the Royal Albert Hall here, for elegant concerts and The Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park, which has an annually erected Pavilion, designed by luminaries such as Zaha Hadid and Ai Weiwei.
The hotel enjoys good transport links, with Kensington Olympia tube station just a 10-minute walk away, from here you are one stop from Earls Court tube station, where you can catch the Piccadilly line direct to Heathrow Airport, or Victoria Station for the Gatwick Express Train. When considering the price and location of The Avonmore Guest House, it is a good choice for travellers on a budget; however, some guests have had issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms. Some may also find the area a little too quiet for their liking, but if you just require a place to sleep, wash and store your luggage this is a fair accommodation option. Rooms near the front of the hotel can be noisy, so if you are staying here be sure to request a room near the back to get a good nights sleep, and if you are a solo traveller, it is advised to book one of the larger rooms for the extra space offered.
