If you want to stay in Central London on a budget in a place that has great facilities, then Beit Hall campus, part of Imperial College London, is a good choice. Beit Hall is a Grade II listed building but with modern comforts in its accommodation. During term time, it is a student halls of residence, but during holidays it is an international conference centre and hotel. The building can accommodate 300 guests.
Imperial College London is the UK's leading science, technology and medicine university. It was founded in 1907 and its main campus is in London’s prestigious South Kensington. Located on Prince Consort Road, next to the Royal Albert Hall, Beit Hall is one of Imperial's most historic buildings. It has 258 en-suite rooms and standard bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities. The rooms are all clean and comfortable, and many have views over Beit's Quadrangle or the Royal Albert Hall.
Linen on the beds and towels are supplied. Facilities available at the campus include charged internet access, luggage storage, 24-hour security, coin-operated laundry room, iron and ironing board, lifts, disabled access rooms, telephones and central heating. Reception is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The building also has a common room and sitting room.
Sports and fitness amenities are available for guests to use at the Ethos Sports Centre, in nearby Prince’s Gardens. Arranged over four floors, this superb centre has the following facilities: 25m swimming pool with sauna, steam room and spa, fitness gym, exercise studio for classes, sports hall for badminton, table tennis, basketball and five-a-side football, climbing wall, three squash courts, treatments. There are also squash courts.

Continental or English breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in the Sherfield Building Senior Common Room, a short walk from the accommodation, every morning. There are several places to eat and drink throughout the day, whether you want a snack, a lunch or a dinner. The Eastside Bar and Restaurant serves a great selection of gastro-pub style dishes, as well as beer, wine, tea and coffee. Located on the ground floor of the Eastside Halls of Residence, this is close to Beit Hall and is open from noon until late evening. As well as Eastside, the Ethos cafe is on the ground floor of Ethos Sports Centre. Serving hot and cold drinks including barista-style coffee and fresh juice and smoothies, baguettes, sandwiches, Panini’s, salads and lots more, it is ideal for a quick bite or drink after a swim or gym session.

Guests staying in Beit Hall can use the Beit Quadrangle, an outside space with a lawned area and outdoor seating, which the accommodation is set around. It is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink. Guests can also use nearby Prince's Gardens, which is Central London's only privately-owned public square and offers a tranquil green space. The Royal Parks of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are a short walk away and form a huge open space where you will find the Serpentine lake, Serpentine Gallery, Princess Diana memorial and a riding stables.
Beit Hall is well located for major London attractions. It is next to the Royal Albert Hall and the Natural History Museum. The Science Museum and V&A are also close. Other nearby places of interest include Brompton Oratory, the Royal College of Arts and Kensington Palace. For shopping, Harrods and Knightsbridge are within easy striking distance.
The nearest station is South Kensington Underground station. It is served by the District, Circle and Piccadilly tube lines. The nearest mainline railway station is Victoria, which is a terminal for passengers travelling by train to Gatwick Airport. Victoria station has a local bus station in the forecourt and is close to Victoria Coach Station for nationwide long-distance coaches. Victoria station also serves the following Underground lines: Victoria, District and Circle. Stations in the area are in Travelcard Zone 1. The area is outside the London Congestion Charge Zone for cars.
