Belgraves, part of the Thompson Hotels' collection of prestigious hotels, is in Central London’s affluent Belgravia neighbourhood. Close to elegant Sloane Square, the area is renowned for upmarket shops and restaurants.

Accommodation in the 5-Star hotel ranges from luxurious rooms to sumptuous suites. The King Superior Rooms measure 250 square feet. They include a king bed with custom-made 400 thread count SFERRA linens. The en-suite white and grey marble bathrooms have marble floors and feature a walk-in shower. Oversized terrycloth robes by Sferra and bathroom amenities by Penhaligons are supplied. Guests can enjoy an LCD flat-screen TV and an iHome docking station. The Double Premium rooms are even larger and have two full size-beds.

The Penthouse is a fine example of the luxury suites at Belgraves. It measures 750 square feet and has a king bed with custom-made 400 thread count SFERRA linens. The second bedroom features a pull-out sofa with a king bed. The marble bathroom has mosaic floors and separate shower and soaking tub. There is also a separate guest bathroom as well as a separate living room area and wet bar. Guests can enjoy lovely views from the oversize outdoor terrace, which you can reach from the bedroom. The Penthouse has a working fireplace and the suite also includes an LCD flat screen TV and iPod docking station.
As well as 85 rooms, the hotel also has a chic and eclectic lobby, an 80-seat restaurant, an intimate library bar and a fitness centre.
The Belgraves’ restaurant, HIX Belgravia, offers celebrated chef Mark Hix's approach to dining - carefully sourced ingredients; simply prepared and cooked. The menu offers British dishes and cuisine from around the world. The dining room also features specially commissioned artwork from British artists including Miranda Donovan, Rachel Howard and Mat Collishaw. For drinks, Mark’s Bar offers a cocktail list designed by Nick Strangeway. The bar also has a smoking garden with a cigar menu.

Hyde Park will be holding the Open Water Swimming events for the 2012 Olympics.
