The Boka Hotel is between Earls Court and West Brompton tube stations. It is not a long walk from either, but it may be slightly closer to West Brompton. However, if you are travelling in from Heathrow or from the West End, it would be advisable to go straight to Earls Court and walk from there. Location is everything with a hotel like the Boka. Whatever you are hoping to find when you come to London, it will be reachable from Earls Court without too much trouble. The museums and concert halls of South Kensington are just a walk away (or a couple of stops on the tube) as are the trendy shopping districts of High Street Kensington and Knightsbridge with its famous department store: Harrods. Earls Court itself, of course, has much to offer, laden with vibrant eateries and drinkeries and night life. There is the Earls Court Exhibition Centre where Crufts and the Royal Tournament are held every year, and there are local gems like the Troubadour Club, a coffee house where musical great like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Costello have played.
The Boka hotel is a comfortable bed and breakfast offering functional, standard hotel rooms in a great location. It can also provide self-contained studio apartments, if you would prefer a complete self-catering experience. There are 52 rooms available, and not all have en suite bathrooms, so that is worth checking before booking. Included with the room price is a full English breakfast, and each of the rooms has a fridge, television, hairdryer, a safe deposit box, and central heating. The hotel also offers faxing and ironing facilities.
The Boka makes no bones about the fact that it is aiming for the budget traveller, and, bearing that in mind it does what it does very well. The rooms are clean and functional, and although the décor might be somewhat tired, everything is comfortable and well looked-after. If you are looking for a basic accommodation, a place to lay your head as you venture out and explore London, the Big Smoke, you may well find that the Boka Hotel is well suited to your needs with its clean, functional, good-value ethos and the fact that it is one of the few bed and breakfasts in Earls Court to provide a full English breakfast.
