If you are in need of some retail therapy (don’t we all!) then The Brunswick has the answer. Situated between Brunswick Square and Russell Square, this shopping centre cost a staggering £24 million to construct and boasts a real ultra-modern feel.
Some of the shops that you will be able to take advantage of include Waitrose, Carluccios, Starbucks and French Connection to name but a few. It is considered to be a Grade II listed building which it achieved in 2000. There are a few lovely water featured designed by Susanna Heron whilst you can enjoy additional high street fashion and other restaurant chains.
If you are a cinema buff then why not indulge in a movie thanks to the adjacent Renoir Cinema. Belonging to the Curzon group, there are regular showings of countless films and several films from the European cinema oeuvre.
If you want to experience the Brunswick Centre then visitors will have to arrive at Russell Square. This is the closest tube station and lies in Zone 1 of the underground system.
It is served by the Piccadilly line and is only a 5 minute walk away. The nearest rail station is Kings Cross St Pancras. Here you will have the chance to connect to several major European destinations as the main Eurostar terminal is situated inside.
Cities you can reach via Eurostar from Kings Cross St. Pancras include Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels. Opening times for the Brunswick Centre are from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 7pm, Sundays between 11am and 5pm. Restaurants are open until 11pm.
You will be near a variety of different areas including Marylebone which also benefits from a number of shops, bars as well as restaurants to choose from. There are several individual boutique stores which provide cutting edge fashion not to mention quaint delis where you can purchase a wealth of fresh produce from around the world.
In addition to this, Regents Park can be easily accessed from this position. Situated close to Camden and Euston, this is the home of one of the capital’s most popular tourist attractions. London Zoo showcases a range of animals from lions, cheetahs and monkeys to giraffes, rhinos and much more.
There is even a butterfly sanctuary where you will be able to spot hundreds of different species. Meanwhile other sites in the area include the British Museum, Madame Tussauds and the London Planetarium is but a short distance away.
Madame Tussauds is dedicated to only the finest waxwork models which pay homage to a number of people from the sporting, historical and political world. You can have the chance quite literally to rub shoulders with the likes of Tony Blair, Sir Winston Churchill, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and David Beckham. Make sure you head there early as the queues can be as long as running the London Marathon.
The Brunswick can be found opposite Russell Square tube station between Marchmont Street, Bernard Street and Brunswick Square and only a short 10 minute walk away from the British Museum, within easy reach by bus, tube and car.
