Ideally located near to Knightsbridge, Piccadilly, the West End and with easy access to the City and London Docklands by rail, bus and car; this hotel suits business and leisure travellers alike.
Conceptualised as a quiet retreat in a Victorian town house conversion, away from the urban rush of London, replete with fresh, innovative design, The Caesar hotel is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the city that combines contemporary style and modern thinking with comfort. The Caesar opened in 2003 after a multi million pound redevelopment. It is a contemporary, designer style hotel with a trendy bar and a restaurant with international cuisine.
The Caesar's 140 designer bedrooms feature dark wood timbers and exposed brick work, which retains the hotel's historical features whilst brining them bang up to date. All rooms have Apextra beds, en suite facilities, colour TVs with satellite and pay movies, TV games, a hair dryer, 24-hour room service, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephones (with data port connectivity for direct internet access). Baby cots can also be provided if needed and some rooms have delightful views facing the Queen's Gardens. The Caesar also has a specially designed, purpose-built disabled room for handicapped persons, with expansive space suitable for wheelchair bound guests.
Guests can dine at the Restaurante XO, a sleek, sophisticated eatery, which rivals those in the surrounding area with innovative international cuisine, with a distinctly Spanish flair, which is open daily. Guests can also enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and have a drink at the XO Bar, which opens every evening from until late and serves all types of beverages, exotic cocktails and light bites and snacks.
The hotel is a five-minute walk away from Bayswater tube station, which services the District and Circle lines. From here you have direct links to Paddington Station (where the Heathrow Express Train terminates), Victoria Station (where the Gatwick Express Train terminates) and many other areas of London, including Notting Hill, which is famed for its carnival. If you are driving to the hotel, it is situated near the main A4 road, which can be accessed via the M4 and M25; however, guests should note that the hotel is in the congestion charge zone. An NCP car park is located very nearby in Queensway for overnight parking.
This hotel is an elegant resting spot in a fantastic area, with many of London's most intriguing, tucked away streets nearby. Staff have been praised for their friendly assistance and guests have been enthusiastic about the hotel's welcoming atmosphere, all off which makes this a worthwhile hotel to consider for a stay in the area. Wireless Internet at the hotel is only free for an hour a day, so if you want to avoid a charge, you can use the Starbucks Cafe just a few minutes walk away in Queensway. It is also recommended choosing a Superior room as international visitors may find other rooms a little cramped and if you can get a view of the Queen's Gardens, these rooms will be quieter and you can wake up to some historic greenery during your visit.
