"Close to a tube station and convenient for the exhibition centres at Earls Court and Olympia"
The apartments are about a ten-minute walk from both the Earls Court and Olympia exhibition centres. Kensington High Street is also a short walk away and has plenty of excellent shops. An unusual nearby attraction – off the tourist trail but well worth visiting - is Brompton Cemetery. This is one of London’s oldest and most distinguished garden cemeteries, full of fabulous Victorian mausoleums and containing the graves of famous people including suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst. Stamford Bridge Football Ground, the home of Chelsea Football Club, lies to the south of the hotel. To the north is Westfield shopping centre, Europe’s largest indoor retail complex.
Other attractions within easy striking distance of the apartments are the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the V&A, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and cafes within reach of the house and it is easy to get in to the West End for more shopping and entertainment.
The nearest Underground station to Castletown House is West Kensington tube station, just a minute’s walk from the doorstep. This is on the District Line and is in Travelcard Zone 2. West Brompton station lies a little further away, to the south, and is on the Wimbledon branch of the District Line, between Earl's Court and Fulham Broadway stations, as well as being between Kensington (Olympia) and Imperial Wharf stations on the Overground railway. The nearest airport is Heathrow, which is 45 minutes away on the tube. The area is outside the London Congestion Charge Zone for cars.
