The head chef uses produce that is local when possible and creates seasonal such things as English asparagus, Barnsley lamb chops, slow-cooked pork belly, fresh scallops caught in English waters and 21-day aged steaks with hand-cut chips. The dining room has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and offers breakfast, lunch and formal dinner. You can also buy bar snacks in the pub.
The bar is a superb example of a traditional English pub, with a great atmosphere, friendly bar staff and a wide range of drinks. The staff know how to take care of real cask ales, brewed by Young’s. There are several to choose from in styles that range from fruity to hoppy as well as spicy and aromatic. If you prefer wine or cocktails, then you will also find a great choice available. Coffee and tea and other soft drinks are also available.

Kew is the home of Domesday Book - on public display at The National Archives. Kew is a great place to shop and dine. There are independent retailers, cafes and restaurants in Kew Village - the parades of shops adjoining Kew Gardens station. There are also major high street retailers at the nearby Kew Retail Park. Other nearby places of interest include Kew Bridge Steam Museum, the Musical Museum, Brentford. The London Wetland Centre nature reserve is a little further away, but well worth visiting. It is easy to get into Central London by public transport from Kew.
Those making use of train transport can use Kew Gardens station, on the District Line and London Overground in Travelcard Zones 3 and 4, or Kew Bridge railway station, in Travelcard Zone 3. Several buses stop near the pub. For drivers, the hotel is outside the London Congestion Charge Zone. Free resident parking is available in the pub hotel’s underground car park, with a further large car park behind it.
