The hotel is in a grade II listed building that was built in 1911 by Samuel Ryder, donor of the Ryder Cup for golf. It retains many of its original features including leaded light room screens, a sweeping staircase and a magnificent mahogany and stained glass dome. It has 60 contemporary en-suite bedrooms, recently constructed at the rear of the hotel, offering good amenities and free car parking.
The sophisticated guest rooms include standard singles, standard doubles, family rooms and executive rooms, intended to provide a comfortable environment at affordable rate.
