The Comfort Inn doesn't contain a restaurant for evening meals, but luckily this gives you the opportunity to experience the many fantastic food joints in the surrounding area. Edgware Road has some of the best Lebanese food in London, if you take a short stroll down, you will soon come across the intoxicating scent of a hookah pipe; however if you prefer to sample traditional British food, you can get great views at Alfie's Rooftop Restaurant (above a very good antiques market), enjoy the ambience at The Warrington pub or enjoy exquisite Japanese food at Dinings restaurant.
The hotel is within walking distance of many of London's most intriguing areas, including Marble Arch, where the famed white monument, which was once London's tiniest police station sits; Bayswater; Regent’s Park, where you can watch summer plays and visit the exotic animals of London Zoo; Hyde Park, home to The Serpentine Gallery, where you can ride horses amongst the lush greenery or enjoy a pedalo on the Serpentine Lake; Oxford Street, which contains over a mile and a half of shops; and Baker Street where fictional detective Sherlock Holmes was said to reside and many tourists actually believe he did, so let the guides at the Sherlock Holmes Museum give you the facts and take you into Victorian London. Madame Tussaud's waxwork museum and The Planetarium are also located and Lord's Cricket Ground is close by, where you can follow the quintessential British sport. For sophisticated evening entertainment, the Cockpit Theatre and Canal Cafe Theatre are both within five minutes walk so you can experience London's thriving cultural scene.
The hotel is easily accessible from Paddington Station where the London Heathrow Express arrives every 15 minutes, and it is a just a short walk from Edgware Road tube station, from which you can also access Victoria Station for the Gatwick Express Train and King's Cross St Pancras for the Eurostar Terminal. Queensway and Bayswater Underground stations are also both a five-minute walk away. If you are driving to the hotel, it can be accessed from the main A4 road, via the M4 and M25; however, guests should note that the hotel is in the congestion charge zone. A reasonable car park choice is the NCP just a few minutes walk away in Queensway.
The Comfort Inn is a low-cost hotel and as such the rooms can seem a little bland, so this hotel won't suit everybody, especially if you have a special stay planned. However, it is a very comfortable, calm and friendly hub from which to explore the famed sights and hidden corners of London for a very reasonable rate. Breakfasts at the hotel are a decent, but for something more inspiring and a better cup of coffee, you might prefer the Starbucks Cafe just a few minutes walk away. Wi-fi at the hotel is also reportedly sketchy, so you can take advantage of the cafe's free connection whilst you are there.
