The Comfort Inn Vauxhall offers two person double jacuzzi baths
The 3-star Comfort Inn Vauxhall Hotel provides basic accommodation within southwest London.
♦ It is close to Vauxhall Bridge on the river Thames, which leads to Pimlico and Westminster.
♦ The Comfort Inn may be basic, but it is in a fabulous location from which to explore the city. Pimlico is where you will find the Tate Britain Gallery, the more traditional of the two Tates, which has an impressive collection of Turner and Pre-Raphaelite paintings.
♦ The hotel is also well located for visiting the South Bank exhibition centres, The London Eye and The London Aquarium, and if you wish you can take a ride along the River Thames in a dinner cruise, tour boat or even a speedboat depending on how active you are feeling.
About the Hotel
♦ The 94 rooms at the Comfort Inn Vauxhall Hotel are decorated in a contemporary style with a neutral colour palette, and rooms come in four styles, the Jacuzzi Room, Executive Suite, Standard Room and Lite Room, with varying levels of luxury and amenities.
♦ Each room comes complete with private bathroom facilities and is equipped with amenities such as a ceiling fan, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and satellite TV.
♦ Friendly staff are on hand to ensure guests have a relaxing stay at the Comfort Inn Vauxhall Hotel, which has its own lounge bar and fitness centre.
♦ The hotel offers a full English breakfast for guests, although there has been some confusion in the past about whether it is inclusive in room rates, when it is actually available for an extra charge. The breakfast is reportedly good, but there are plenty of cafes nearby, including The Old Post Office Bakery, where you can get a much more tempting selection.
♦ The hotel doesn't cater for evening meals, but in London you never have to walk too far to stumble upon a restaurant. Vauxhall has a great selection, with a decidedly international flavour due to the Portuguese community in the area. The Nacional Pub serves Portuguese influenced gastropub food and Rebato's serves tasty tapas and Spanish dishes, or if you fancy something more traditional, The Canton Arms serves a range of British dishes.
♦ The Comfort Inn Vauxhall Hotel is close to a number of bus routes that travel into central London, as well as Stockwell Underground Station (350m south) and Vauxhall Underground Station (600m north).
♦ Vauxhall Station, with provides Victoria line services, is 2 stops from Victoria Station, home of the Gatwick Express fast rail service. Stockwell Station, on the Northern line, is 3 stops from Waterloo Station.
♦ Places of interest close to the Comfort Inn Vauxhall Hotel also include The Oval cricket ground, situated 600m north-east of the hotel, where you can watch the most British of games played.
The Comfort Inn may not be a terribly exciting place to stay, the non-descript building and basic bedrooms are a little uninspiring, but it does provide very reasonable accommodation in a very convenient location to see sights and attractions.
There are plenty of boutique hotels in nearby areas which have a bit more personality, so it may be best shopping around first, but if you do choose to stay here, choose a room near the back of the hotel, as rooms at the front get a lot of disturbance from traffic on the main road.
