The Dawson House Hotel may be basic, with some previous guests noting maintenance issues in the bedrooms and slightly cramped rooms, but it provides a pleasant and serviceable base in a well-heeled area of London, with easy access to main sights for a very competitive price. If staying in the hotel, opt for a room with an en-suite, as some rooms have bathrooms across the hall, which can be an annoyance. Rooms at the top of the hotel tend to be quieter as well, so these are the best choice if you are a light sleeper.
