Generator Hostel offers safe, convenient, cheap, clean and comfortable single, twin, triple, quad and dorm rooms. Rates are low and include free Wi-Fi internet access, bed linen, a drink in the bar, movies and a London walking tour. There are also free towels supplied in single and twin rooms. Breakfast is available for a small fee. All bedrooms have wash basins but do not have en-suite toilets, showers or baths. There are showers and toilets on every floor. Room types include private rooms, mixed dormitories with individual lockers (guests must supply their own padlocks) and female dorms. The female dorms include private reading lights, a relaxing area to read and chat, a dressing table with hair dryers, full length mirrors, complimentary toiletries and a welcome drink. To stay in a dormitory you must be over 18. Photo ID is required for all check-ins.
Facilities at the hostel include the Generator Bar which serves drinks and puts on entertainment every night; a full 1080p HD big screen TV with sports channels; laundry service; luggage storage; all-you-can eat breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals in the hostel restaurant at low prices. This inexpensive hostel in London’s West End is very convenient for transport links. The nearest tube station is Russell Square, which is on the Piccadilly Line of the London Underground. It is on the Hammersmith & City, Circle, Metropolitan, Northern (Bank branch), Piccadilly and Victoria Underground lines. King’s Cross station serves long distance inter-city rail services on the East Coast Main Line. St Pancras station provides inter-city services on the Midland Main Line as well as services via Thameslink and international Eurostar trains. Euston tube station is 0.5 miles from the hostel. It is on the Victoria Line of the London Underground and both branches of the Northern Line. It connects with Euston mainline railway station.
If you arrive by plane at Heathrow Airport, you can catch the Piccadilly Line directly into Central London. If you arrive by coach at Victoria Coach Station you can take the Victoria Line from Victoria tube station, which is near the coach station. The area is inside the London Congestion Charge Zone for cars. Several buses stop close to the hostel.
