On-site parking is available, but a more reasonable car park choice is the NCP just a few minutes walk away in Queensway.
Being located at the heart of Paddington means that the hotel is nestled between some of London's most exciting spots for first time visitors and regulars alike. You are just a short walk away from the exciting range of activities in Hyde Park, where you can escape the noise and crowds of the city to enjoy horse rides, boat rides, The Serpentine Gallery and Pavilion, tennis courts and the occasional open-air concert if the weather allows. Kensington Palace and Gardens is situated on the opposite side of Hyde Park, containing the Princess Diana memorial and her former home, the stunning, Christopher Wren designed palace, which houses thousands of baroque furnishings and antiques as well as The Orangery restaurant where you can take part in the quintessentially British ritual of afternoon tea whilst gazing out at the landscaped gardens. The Whiteley's shopping complex with over 70 shops and a cinema, and Oxford Street, which contains over 300 shops are both within walking distance, so you can indulge in some retail therapy to suit any budget. If you are travelling with children, they will enjoy Madame Tussaud's waxwork museum in nearby Baker Street and Regent's Park, to the north of the hotel, where London Zoo is located.
As a Hilton hotel, a good stay comes as standard and the Hilton London Metropole is no exception. The hotel's best feature is its very central location, but the comfortable rooms a friendly service are just the cherry on top. Some guests, who want to experience the more traditional side of London, may find a brand hotel lacks character, but this hotel is a very pleasant base for business travellers and those who want a reasonable hub from which to explore. The best rooms are the Executive class, which includes access to the very trendy Executive lounge and the Tower rooms, which are the most modern in the hotel, so be sure to request these at check in.
