Search for cheap hotels near Kensington High Street
Kensington High Street in central London, runs Westward, from Kensington Road, beginning at the entrance to Kensington Palace and onwards towards the Kensington Olympia Station where the borough of Hammersmith begins, thus turning into Hammersmith Road.
This busy street is well served by the High Street Kensington tube station, connecting with the circle and district lines.
The street itself has much to offer in terms of shopping, dining or simply if you need to take time out and enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee, the choices are plentiful on Kensington High Street.
There are a number of Supermarkets, including the American Whole Foods Market, the first of its' kind in the UK which opened in this location in 2007, it is a very popular shopping place for locals and tourists alike.
The produce is organic and fresh with great choices from the fresh fish or meat counters. The top floor lends itself to a number of eateries from Asian cuisine to Pizza and delicious smoothies, it is well worth stopping by and if not buying perhaps sampling one of the many tastings they undertake on a daily basis.
Other Supermarkets located on Kensington High Street include the nationwide stores, Marks & Spencers, Tescos and Waitrose.
Fashion is well covered with many high street names located here, including Urban Outfitters, Top Shop, Monsoon to name but a few.
Restaurants are numerous and you can choose from fast food outlets up to Michelin Starred restaurants. All tastes are catered for.
After a morning or afternoon shopping, take a break for an afternoon tea at the Muffin Man, a wonderful little cafe located near to the Kensington Close Hotel on Wrights Lane.
Kensington High Street is also served by a good number of pubs and gastropubs, one notable gastropub being the Maggie Jones, a great place to stop by and sample some of the mouth watering dishes on offer. A small snippet of information, being as it is located close to Kensington Palace, it was a favourite haunt of the late Princess Margaret, she often used the pseudonym "Maggie Jones" hence the pubs name.

For 5 star indulgence, on Kensington High Street, a perfect choice would be the Royal Garden Hotel it could not be better placed for a stay in Central London, in arguably one of the best locations, overlooking Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace at the rear, the Royal Garden Hotel offers stylish, and contemporary accommodations with the added bonus of a choice of bars and top notch restaurants, of which the Park Terrace Restaurant showcases menus from the award winning Executive Chef Steve Munkley.

Staying with 4 star hotels, the Copthorne Tara Hotel is just off the main street and is tucked away in a quiet corner of Kensington.
Still, it is within a couple of minutes walk to the tube station, High Street Kensington, and of course the plethora of shops and restaurants on Kensington High Street itself. Each of the bedrooms is well furnished and features the usual in-room amenities including flat screen TV's and satellite channels. Guests also have in room tea/coffee making facilities and mini fridge.
The Royal Albert Hall, Science Museum and Natural History Museum can be easily reached from here making it a popular choice for visiting tourists.

Given its' positive reviews, we should also mention yet another 4 star in the neighbourhood of Kensington High Street, the Seraphine Kensington Gardens Hotel.
Described as funky and elegant, the hotel offers guests well thought out accommodation with splashes of colour and nice little design features. For instance, when staying with children, the hotel offer cuddly toys!

Although the hotel doesn't have its' own restaurant, the choice of places to eat on Kensington High Street is vast and very varied with something to suit every pocket and taste.

Of course it comes at a price but for a very special occasion or simply if you just want to pamper yourself then this hotel is worthy of your consideration.
