Mad Hatter Hotel

"A superb value hotel in a traditional London pub"

This great traditional London pub and hotel is superbly located whether you are staying in London for business or pleasure.

The name The Mad Hatter is a tribute to London's heritage for hat making, as the building was originally a gentleman’s hat factory where the famous bowler, topper and boater hats were once produced. In days gone by, no London City gentleman would have been seen out and about without his hat!

The hotel has 30 well-appointed rooms that provide superb value accommodation in the Southwark area of South London, while the pub downstairs serves delicious fresh food and great ales. You can choose between well-appointed double or twin rooms, or treat yourself to some king size luxury in the form of the hotel’s superior rooms. Each of the guest rooms has its own stylish en-suite bathroom with a tub and a shower - ideal for relaxing after a day of City business or sightseeing.

The various types of room at the Mad Hatter include 12 double rooms with a sumptuous double bed, a desk and a trouser press as well as a flat screen TV with Sky and a radio. Superior rooms have a wonderful king size bed, TV with digital channels as well as Sky, a desk with a phone, tea and coffee-making equipment and a trouser press. There are also twin rooms with two beds.

Facilities available include 24-hour room service, Wi-Fi internet access and an ice machine. Irons are available if required. Cots for babies can be requested and there are interconnecting rooms, which are ideal for families. Assistance and guide dogs are welcome too.

"Don’t leave without trying a Mad Hatter Pie at this great traditional pub"

The hotel’s tempting menu includes a great selection of traditional English dishes, with light bites as well as hearty suppers on offer. Pies are a speciality and are perfect washed down with a choice of cask and bottle-conditioned ales. The menu also includes fish and chips, burgers, bangers and mash and light bites including sandwiches. Real ales on tap include London Pride and ESB. The pub also serves great wines, cocktails and soft drinks.
