Onesixtwo is a contemporary boutique hotel situated at the Royal Blackheath Standard, in leafy South London. It is very close to the main A2 road connecting London with the port of Dover on the Kent coast. Westcombe Park railway station, in Greenwich, is 0.5 miles away and Blackheath railway station is 1.1 miles away, with services in to Central London. From Greenwich, you can also access the Docklands Light Railway and Jubilee Line underground trains.
This friendly South London guesthouse is within easy reach of Greenwich, where you can visit the National Maritime Museum, the historic ship the Cutty Sark and the Royal Observatory as well as enjoy the town’s exciting range of shops, restaurants, cafes and traditional pubs. For some of the most beautiful views of London and its river, you can stroll along the Thames Path. This starts at the Thames Barrier in Greenwich and follows the bank of the river to the city and beyond. Very keen walkers can even trace the Thames to its source in the Cotswolds, 184 miles away.
The O2 Arena – designated as the North Greenwich Arena for the 2012 Olympics – is on the Greenwich Peninsula. Greenwich Park, which is holding the 2012 Olympics equestrian events, is 0.5 miles from the hotel. The Docklands Light Railway connects Greenwich with a fast route to London’s financial district, Docklands, London City Airport and the ExCeL exhibition centre. Other Olympic venues including the Olympic Stadium and The Royal Artillery Barracks are also easy to get to by public transport.
Nearby Blackheath offers many interesting places to shop and dine. The heath itself is a large open grassy space famous as being a starting point of the London Marathon. It is very popular for picnics and kite flying in the summer and is the venue of a spectacular free public firework display every November to celebrate Bonfire Night.
