Search for cheap hotels near Oxo Tower
Located in the heart of what is known as the Southbank, the Oxo Tower boasts incredible views of the River Thames and beyond.

The Novotel Blackfriars Hotel, despite its name, is situated on the Southbank just a few minutes walk from the Oxo Tower. This is a modern and quite contemporary 4 star hotel complete with an indoor swimming pool. Pets are allowed here.

About the Oxo Tower
Within walking distance, you are right in the centre of some of the most popular attractions in the capital. These include Westminster Abbey not to mention the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye. In fact why not take a trip on the London Eye in order to enjoy incredible river views which stretch right back down to St Pauls and beyond. No visit to the Southbank would be complete without a trip to Borough Market where you can browse the artisan food stalls and eat in any of several great restaurants[see our image gallery of Borough Market].
Meanwhile you are in the ideal spot for culture. This is thanks to the different number of galleries that are within close proximity. This features the Tate Modern considered to be the most visited gallery in the country.
You can benefit from a wide variety of expositions and events which take place throughout the year. Other notable highlights include the Southbank Centre, the Shakespeare Globe Theatre and Waterloo which offers plenty of excuses to head out and sample the nightlife. If you cross Waterloo Bridge you can have the chance to explore Covent Garden which provides plenty of retail opportunities and cute cafes.
The Oxo Bar is based on the 8th Floor and offers a lengthy cocktail list that is certainly worth investigating. It consists of modern twists not to mention a classic selection that will suit any discerning palate.
The best seats are most definitely by the bar where you can see among other things St. Pauls Cathedral. However, be sure not to be entranced by the incredible views. Ideal for a first date or impressing the missus, there is also a modern brasserie serving up a wealth of British treat for hungry diners. With a recent refurbishment the venue now blends a perfect melange of deep yellows with leather banquettes that exude comfort and luxury.
To travel to the Oxo Tower, you will need to arrive directly at either Southwark or Waterloo Station.
These are the closest tube stations and both lie in Zone 1 of the underground system. Southwark is served by the Jubilee line while Waterloo is served by the Jubilee, Bakerloo and Northern lines. From here you will be able to access a number of different trains that can take you as far south as Kingston, Twickenham, Richmond and Portsmouth.
Opening hours at the Oxo Tower Bar are from Monday to Wednesday between 11am and 11pm, Thursdays to Saturdays between 11a and 11:30pm and Sundays between noon and 10:30pm.
