Notting Hill, with boutique shops and which hosts the Notting Hill Carnival every summer, is 0.9 miles west of the hotel. Portobello Road, famous for antiques, is a mile from the hotel. London’s West End with its large theatres, nightlife and landmarks, is easily reached by tube, bus or taxi. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel are plenty of restaurants, cafes, nightlife and local shops.

The hotel is 0.2 miles from Lancaster Gate tube station, on the Central Line, which goes through London’s West End and City to East London. The hotel is 0.3 miles from Paddington mainline railway and tube station. Fast trains operate between Paddington and Heathrow Airport. Rail services from Wales, western England and the south west also stop at Paddington, where you can interchange to and from the District, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Bakerloo Underground lines. From Gatwick Airport you can catch a fast train to Victoria station, then take the Circle Line. If you arrive in London on the Eurostar at St Pancras International you can also connect with the Circle Line. Luton, Stansted and London City airports are all within 45 minutes of Central London by train. Stations in the area are in Travelcard Zone 1. If you are driving, the M25, M40, M4 and M1 motorways are easy to reach. The area is outside the London Congestion Charge Zone for cars. Several buses stop near the hotel.
