Located in stylish Bayswater, The Park Grand London Paddington is three minutes from Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express, and a short walk from Notting Hill and Hyde Park. The Park Grand is located on one of Bayswater's premier garden squares and provides a quiet and peaceful setting in one of London's most exclusive districts, home to celebrities and politicians alike, including Keira Knightley and former Prime Minister Tony Blair.  Set in a stunning Victorian building, the hotel deftly mixes the traditional and modern so guests can experience the two sides of this historic and cosmopolitan city.

Guest rooms range from Metro rooms to luxurious Studio Suites, but all are decorated with a great deal of style and charm, with clean lines, comfortable linens and a sophisticated colour palette of turquoise, purple, mustard and cream to ensure your room is a haven away from the bustling streets of London. In-room amenities take into account the needs of business and leisure travellers and include large flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities, a direct-dial telephone, air conditioning, complimentary high-speed Internet access and thoughtful extras such as complimentary mineral water and fruit bowls.

The stylish atmosphere doesn't begin and end with the hotel's bedrooms; the Atlantic Restaurant and Bar serves a satisfying continental breakfast and light bites and drinks throughout the day. If you want something more substantial, the local area is packed with mouthwatering eateries, which will satiate the appetite of any visiting 'foodies'. In nearby Edgware road you can sample exotic Lebanese cuisine finished off with a hookah pipe if you wish, Mandarin Kitchen and Pearl Liang offer delicious Chinese fare and the Frontline Club offers exquisite, hearty British fine dining in the austere surrounds of the news journalist's members club. The laid back vibe is perfect for meeting friends or associates, or simply enjoying a drink as a start to a night out on the town. The hotel also offers a very comprehensive concierge service to help you book tours, make a reservation at local restaurants or arrange museum passes for the many attractions nearby.

The hotel is located very close to many fantastic London sights and attractions, Hyde Park, one of London's largest and prettiest green spaces is just a ten minute stroll away and has a host of indoor and outdoor activities for all the family, including horse rides, solar-powered shuttle boat rides, The Serpentine Gallery's modern art exhibitions and summer Pavilion, tennis courts and many historic sites including Rotten Row and Speaker's Corner, where you can air your grievances to hecklers if you are so inclined. In Baker Street you will find Madame Tussaud's waxwork museum with many uncanny celebrity likenesses and The Planetarium where you can enjoy 360-degree views of the cosmos in the 'star dome'. Oxford Street shops are within a comfortable walking distance even in designer heels, although by the time you have explored the 300 plus shops in the area and the many floors of Selfridges Department Store you may wish to relax a little. If this is the case you can take in a fantastic musical performance in the Royal Albert Hall, take in a play at The Criterion Theatre, or enjoy afternoon tea at The Orangery Restaurant in Kensington Palace at the west end of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

The hotel is easily accessible from Paddington Station where the London Heathrow Express arrives every 15 minutes. You can also access Victoria Station for the Gatwick Express Train and King's Cross St Pancras for the Eurostar Terminal. Queensway and Bayswater Underground stations are also both a five-minute walk away. If you are driving to the hotel, it can be accessed from the main A4 road, via the M4 and M25; however, guests should note that the hotel is in the congestion charge zone. A reasonable car park choice is the NCP just a few minutes walk away in Queensway.

This hotel is a fantastic accommodation choice for the area, the staff are friendly, the surroundings are cheerful, warm and welcoming and you are within walking distance of major transport hubs and London sights, shops and restaurants. An added bonus is that the hotel has a very generous approach towards upgrades, so it is worth asking at check in if an upgrade is a possibility.
