The quintessential Covent Garden rendezvous, the newly transformed Radisson Edwardian Mercer Street effortlessly blends with the boutique appeal of its neighbourhood. A landmark in Seven Dials village, this is a chic retreat on the doorstep of London’s most celebrated theatres, including The Cambridge, Aldwych and St Martin's.
The hotel's beautifully designed rooms are equipped with next-generation technology. Hip as the streets that surround it, with a bar and restaurant alive with locals, this place feels real, relaxed and rooted in its community. 137 air conditioned bedrooms bring comfort and style together beautifully. Calming, muted shades, tactile fabrics and original art both soothe and stimulate, while interactive, all-in-one guest technology brings your iPod, iPad, iPhone and DVDs seamlessly to your TV screen.
A host of services are available, key features include a fitness room, valet parking upon request (local car park used), in-room spa treatments and complimentary wireless internet access throughout. At the heart of the hotel, Dial is about shared experience – from the bar’s delectable small plates to the comfort and conviviality of the restaurant. Here, modern European dishes of impeccable provenance are prepared with market-fresh British produce, while the fragrant spices of the bar’s meze menu hint at the old Covent Garden market’s more exotic wares. A hub at the heart of Seven Dials, this is a chic urban eatery without an ounce of pretension.
If you're looking for one of the most exciting areas of London to stay in, this hotel is only minutes from a fantastic range of shops, eateries and bars. Whether you choose to visit St Martin's Courtyard with its range of high street and designer shops, or Neal Street with it's hidden food court and one-off boutiques, any shopaholic will be in heave as Covent Garden retains its market mentality but with much more elegant wares. Covent Garden also has a huge range of vibrant pubs and bars including traditional pint peddlers such as The Salisbury or Norman's Coach & Horses, or a more stylish experience at Madame Jojo's, Beaujolais wine bar or Detroit bar for a wilder knees-up.
The hotel is very well located at the centre of Seven Dials, just a ten minute walk from Covent Garden tube station. This station services the Piccadilly line, which goes direct to King's Cross St Pancras Station (where the Eurostar terminates); Heathrow Airport; and many other parts of central London. If you are driving to the hotel, it is situated off the A4 road, which can be accessed via the M4 and M25; however, guests should note that the hotel is in the congestion charge zone. Valet parking is available in the secure car park in Arlington Street just a 15 minute walk away.
If you choose to stay here, we would recommend requesting a room on the 5th floor as this will have less noise and enjoys wonderful views of the London Eye at night.
