 Harrods Store in Knightsbridge London

Harrods Store, London

Harrod's, probably the most famous store in the UK, is right here in Knightsbridge with the tube station conveniently located next door, the store itself takes up  a whole block and offers floor after floor of every possible item you might like to buy. From ladies make-up and perfumes to Harrod's own and very popular pet shop.  A day, yes a whole day in Harrod's is highly recommended, the wonder of the food halls with the freshest produce on display, enticing cakes and chocolates, ice cream parlours. You name it, all types of foods and refreshments are on offer for the busy shopper.

One of the best times to visit Harrod's is around Christmas time, when the shops frontage and windows offer up their most eye catching displays. Each year at Christmas Harrod's launches it's newest special Christmas Teddy Bear which has become highly collectible. Santa also comes to stay at Harrod's each year and children or the child in us loves to visit his grotto and collect a special Christmas gift.  Still on the theme of Christmas, it's worth visiting the Christmas decoration department within Harrods, here you will find a great choice of baubles and bangles with which to adorn our homes at this special time of year.

Here is the famous Fifth floor restaurant (the girls in Absolutely Fabulous loved it), plus there is an excellent foodie store. Like Harrods, the window displays at Harvey Nichols over the Christmas period are really eye catching and draw the crowds.
