A small continental breakfast is offered with the room rate, but guests have not been too impressed, so it is advised to try one of the many cafes nearby.

This may be a definite plus, as there is much to see and do in the surrounding area. Aside from the exhibition centres, Earls Court is home to The Troubadour Cafe, a former drinking haunt of Oliver Reed where you can watch live music and The Finborough Theatre, where you can see plays by up and coming playwrights. In nearby Shepherds Bush, you will find a varied fruit and vegetable market and the O2 Shepherd's Bush Academy, a well-known venue for established and fledgling bands.
In nearby South Kensington, just a 15 minute stroll away, you will find the Victoria & Albert, Science and Natural History Museums; The Royal Albert Hall; Kensington Palace and Gardens; Hyde Park and The Serpentine Gallery; Harrods and Harvey Nichols Department Stores and some exclusive shops and restaurants amongst the elegant Victorian buildings.

The District line will take you to Paddington Station for the Heathrow Express train, or you can access Heathrow directly via the Piccadilly line. This is a very pleasant low-cost hotel, with a good range of amenities and very affordable rates for such a great location, so this is a very good option for those travelling on a budget. Some guests have experienced problems with broken facilities in the room on arrival, or TVs which only have Arabic language channels, so some attention to detail is needed, but if you are looking for a place to drop your luggage and rest at night, overall, St Mark is a good hotel for the area.
