The Wembley Hotel is set in a Victorian terrace of three townhouses that have been converted to form one three-storey property. Most of the surrounding Victorian buildings have disappeared to be replaced by modern properties. The hotel is in the Wembley area of West London near Wembley Stadium and Arena, about seven miles from central London. Thanks to the nearby London Underground Station, Wembley Central, you can be in the heart of the capital in 30 minutes. Note that room rates increase at this hotel when there are major events on at nearby Wembley Stadium or Arena.
The Wembley area is known for its Indian restaurants, and there’s one on the same street as the Wembley Hotel, Bombay Dreams, just 100 metres away. The menu there focuses on dishes from the Punjab and includes specialities like Methi Gosht, lamb cooked with fenugreek, Murg Saag, chicken with chopped spinach and spices, and Prawn Masala, prepared with a creamy sauce and mild spices. The restaurant is attached to a nightclub which is open on Fridays and Saturdays.
If you like South Indian vegetarian cuisine, try Sanghamam a five-minute walk from the hotel, just past Wembley Central Station. If Indian food is not your thing, you can sample some Chinese food at Young’s Peking Restaurant on Harrow Road, a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel is a 20-minute walk from Wembley Stadium and the adjoining Arena. Wembley is the home of England’s national football team and hosts international football matches. You can take a guided tour of the stadium which includes a visit to the museum. Pride of place in the museum goes to a replica of the World Cup trophy that England won by beating Germany in the 1966 final, a sporting moment still guaranteed to make any English football fan misty-eyed. Wembley Arena is one of London’s premier music venues and stages top international acts.

You can also take a walk down Regent’s Street to Piccadilly Circus, just half a mile from Oxford Circus.
You can also take the Bakerloo Line from Wembley Central to reach Warwick Avenue Station in 20 minutes. From there, it’s a few minutes’ walk to Little Venice, a picturesque canal dock surrounded by white, stuccoed Victorian houses. Canal boats depart from Little Venice for London Zoo in Regent’s Park and to Camden, famous for it’s lively street market and excellent selection of bars and restaurants. Camden also has a thriving nightlife with a selection of nightclubs and a range of pubs where you can see live music featuring up-and-coming bands every night of the week.
